Dr. Nikolaos Chousidis is an Associate Postdoctoral researcher of the Cyprus University and Technology. His research interests are strongly inclined towards building materials, Materials Science & Engineering, nanotechnology, materials corrosion and deterioration, cement chemistry and waste management. Dr. Chousidis holds B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Athens (EKPA) and M.Sc. degree in Science & Technology of Materials from the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A). He has also received the Doctorate from the same University; his Doctoral Thesis was entitled: ‘Influence of industrial by-product additives on the corrosion of reinforcement steel’ and completed at the School of Chemical Engineering in collaboration with the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering of the University of Cyprus. He is the first author and the principal investigator of eleven (11) articles published in peer-reviewed journals, while he has been presented eight (8) articles in conferences. He has I also 7-year completed Postdoctoral experience, while he has also received funding for 3 Post-doctoral research programs in different academic institutes. Currently, his Project entitled: ‘Nanotechnology applications for the production of concrete, resistant to high temperatures’ was selected for funding from the Cyprus University of Cyprus.
